About the Green Innovation Corridor
About the Innovation District
The Wolverhampton Green Innovation Corridor (GIC) is a regeneration and innovation programme creating a new innovation district focused on green construction, advanced engineering and digital technologies.
Delivered through a strategic partnership between the City of Wolverhampton Council and the University of Wolverhampton, the programme is designed to accelerate innovation, attract investment and support the growth of future industries. Supported by funding from the UK Government and the West Midlands Combined Authority, and recognised through West Midlands Investment Zone status, the Corridor is helping to unlock opportunities for businesses, researchers, investors and communities while contributing to a greener, more prosperous future.
The Green Innovation Corridor is not a single site or development. It is a connected innovation ecosystem that brings together organisations, people and places to foster collaboration, innovation and inclusive growth.
